This sanitary pad company is opting for beautifully trans-inclusive packaging

Always recently announced that their sanitary pad packaging will be adopting a new design.

The company will be removing the ‘female’ symbol from the packaging.

This follows after Ben Saunders, a trans activist, pointed out that cisgender women are not the only ones who use sanitary pads. Many non-binary, female-to-male transgender, and gender nonconforming folks also menstruate. Oppositely, not all female-identifying people menstruate.

18-year-old Ben Saunders was named young campaigner of the year by Stonewall.

So many in the LGBTQ+ community feel erased or underrepresented by the media surrounding them, so it’s totally refreshing to see socially responsible companies like Always taking steps towards a market that recognizes and serves customers of all identities!
